It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of José G. Martínez. He succumbed to a brief battle with esophageal cancer at his home in Pasadena, Texas, surrounded by his loved ones. He will always be loved and remembered by his wife María Concepción Martínez, life partner of 51 years, his children Silvia Martínez, José Ramiro Martínez and his wife Brenda Martínez, Héctor Martínez, Daniel Martínez and his wife Angélica Martínez, María Guadalupe Bonilla and her husband Abelino Bonilla, grandchildren Isaac A. Martinez, Matthew I. Martinez, Jacob N. Martinez, Madelyn O. Martinez, Oscar Bonilla, Joshua Bonilla, Billy Bonilla, Aaliyah Bonilla, and great-grandchildren Damian A. Vasquez, Ivelisse M. Vasquez, Aiden Ramos, Avier Ramos, and Joshua Ramos Jr.. José had a heart as big as the room he occupied. He was always kind, loving and generous, with a wonderful sense of humor. He loved spending time with family and enjoyed making people laugh. To know him was to love him. We will miss him very much. He will live forever in our hearts.
