Jose “Joe” Anorga, 83 of Deer Park, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2012 in Houston, TX. He was born September 25, 1929 in Brownsville, TX. Joe served his country proudly in the U.S. Army and retired after 23 years of service. He served in both the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was retired from PHI after 22 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post 521, Pasadena Moose Lodge and the VFW. He was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy M. Anorga; daughter, Elisa L. Anorga; sister, Sofia Vega Carrillo; brothers, Eliseo B. “Cheo” Vega and Porfirio “Pilo” Vega and his parents. He is survived by his son, Rick Anorga and wife Janet; sisters, Maria del Rosario Vega-Ochoa and Beatrice Zapata; grandchildren, Tammy Finley and husband Ralph, Michael Anorga, Christopher Anorga, Brandy Phillips and husband Seth, Tiffany Beeson and husband Chad and Thomas Church; 10 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 9, 2012 from 5PM to 7PM at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 10AM in the Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park with Military Honors.
