Joe graduated from Huntington High School in 1964 where he helped lead them to a Texas state championship in basketball and received all-state honors. Joe was especially proud of his work with The Wheelhouse, an addiction recovery center, in Deer Park which he served for most of his working years including as Chairman of the Board or Directors.
Joe enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and being the life of the party. The family is grateful for the outpouring of support they received when he first became ill which included letters and messages with stories of how much fun he was to be around, thanks for his generosity and gratitude for helping to start or keep a small business going in an era when banking was much more local and personal.
