Well, Saint Peter has a headache while there is a little more laughter in heaven. Why? Because on June 8, 2023, at the young age of 61, Gary Leon Schaefer knocked on Heaven’s Gate. Blessing this earth on April 24, 1962, with a little help from his father, Norbert Schaefer, and his mother, Betty Pekar Schaefer, who has been patiently waiting for him.
He held many titles in his life, such as Big Brother to Daren Schaefer, filling his childhood with pranks and his adulthood with friendship as well as holding the title of loving uncle to his nephews, Joshua, Brenden, Devin, and William Schaefer, or as they prefer to call him, ‘Scary Gary’. Dedicated Police Officer after joining the Houston Police Department in March of 1985. During his tenure, he served in the Jail, and as a Patrol Officer in the Southwest and Clear Lake Divisions until November 2020. Yes, thirty-five years, and yet he never lost his sense of humor, his love for animals, and a special affection for serving the elderly in the community. The titles he holds dearest to his heart involve his in-house family. Husband; as his love for his wife Regina (Gina Lynelle) Schaefer is stronger than the strongest tornado gusts that Texas has ever had. And his most favorite title, the one that makes him most proud, is Daddy. His son Gary (Joseph) Schaefer Jr, who inherited many of his traits, made his eyes light up just to talk about him.
Now right now, he is up at Heaven’s bar demanding to have some one on one time with Jesus to discuss the wait time for his special plot of heavenly land that is covered with trees like the Big Thicket, clear waters to take a tube raft ride on and a wonderful old house to have it prepared when his wife finally makes it to him.
Now although God has his soul, his body is entrusted with Pasadena Funeral Home, 2203 Pasadena Boulevard, Pasadena, Texas 77502 (713) 473-6206. You can visit on June 15, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., but you got to make it brief. No need for long goodbyes; besides, the service starts right after at 11:00 a.m. A burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598 (281) 332-3111,0. where he will receive his full police honors as he did dedicate his life to the community, so yes, he deserves a round of applause
