Darlene Morelynn Wilcox, 62, passed away on December 16, 2013 in Pasadena, Texas. She was born on October 26, 1951 in Camden, Texas to Howard Otheal and Sadie Elizabeth Ringo. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Robert Wilcox; daughter, Amanda Wilcox; grandchildren, Bria and Nicholas; brothers, Edward Ringo and Don Howard Ringo; sisters, Charlene Bacarisse, Lotus McGinty and Rita McKnight; aunt, Ollie Bee and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Darlene was part of Women of Worth ministry at First Assembly of God in La Porte. She was also an active member in various Children’s ministries. She was devoted to her faith and her family. She enjoyed serving the community in various capacities over the past few decades. Her time working as a school crossing guard with the Deer Park Police Department has been one of her most enjoyable over the years. She will be dearly missed.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 6pm to 9pm at First Assembly of God La Porte 316 E. Fairmont Pkwy, La Porte, TX 77571. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 20, 2013 at 2pm at First Assembly of God La Porte with Interment to follow in Grand View Memorial Park.
