Charles "Chuck" Fuller, of La Porte, Texas, unexpectedly passed away after a brief, non-covid related illness in a local hospital surrounded by those he loved most, on February 2, 2021 in Webster, Texas.
He was born on August 11, 1938, to Cecil Aubrey Fuller and Rosalie Sanders, in Conroe, Texas. Chuck joined the U.S. Army as soon as he was able and went on to serve his country during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged from the Army in 1959, Chuck met the love of his life, Glyn Alice, on a local freeway. (True story!)
Chuck and Glyn Alice were married on October 26, 1961 and held steadfast to the promises made to each other on that day for 59 joyous years. Their commitment to each other produced two wonderful daughters: Kimberly and Alicia.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Sam Houston State University in 1965. Chuck built a career in Public Relations and Advertising in the Oil and Gas Industry, which he made successful due to his knowledge, passion and determination. In Chuck's spare time, he could almost always be found either submerged in a good book with a schnauzer pup at his feet, traveling, or being the devoted Poppa, or GPop, that he was known to be.
In 2015, Chuck and Glyn Alice moved to La Porte, where there was always a schnauzer kiss, or two, waiting for anyone who entered their home.
Loved ones that passed on before him were his mother, father; step-father, Doug English; sister Kay Cutsinger; brother, Alvin Fuller; In-laws, Glyn and Alice Taylor and son-in-law, Michael Reel.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Glyn Alice; daughter, Kimberly Fuller Reel Kouba and husband Kent of La Porte; daughter, Alicia Fuller Arendell Tucker, and husband Chris of Houston; granddaughter, Brittany Reel Reed, and husband Jared, of Houston; grandson, Corey Reel, wife Lesley and daughter Samantha of Cypress; grandson, Taylor Arendell, of Houston; granddaughter, Ashton Arendell, of Houston, TX. Brother, Michael Fuller of Baytown; sister-in-law, LeGene Taylor Firestone of Colorado Springs, CO; nephew, Kelly Fuller of Colorado Springs, CO; nephew, Courtney Fuller of Phoenix, AZ and other nieces and nephews.
