Alicia Torres (1951-2021) Alicia (Licha) Rodriguez Torres peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 12, 2021 in Webster, Texas at the age of 69. She was born on March 22, 1951 in McAllen, Texas to her parents Baldemar Rodriguez and Maria Rodriguez and was one of six children. After graduating from McAllen High School in 1968, she moved with her family to Houston, Texas. From a young age she learned how important family was and instilled this into the foundation she built for her own family. She was truly a remarkable mother to her only daughter. Her dedication, love and commitment to her family was an inspiration.
She was a unique and special person to everyone she knew. Her heart was filled with a genuine love for all. She opened her door to everyone she could help and she loved sharing and encouraging others to read the word of God. Her devout Christian faith led her to participate in several different church ministries over her lifetime. After retiring from Harris County, she became more active with several ministries at Elim Church. She was truly admired for her volunteering efforts in her church.
Alicia is preceded in death by her mother (Maria Rodriguez), father (Baldemar Rodriguez), sister (Raquel Quinones) and brother (Baldemar Rodriguez, Jr.). She leaves behind many family members which include her daughter and son-in-law (Corina and Mark Salazar), her granddaughter and grandson-in-law (Andrea and Kolton Crowell), her grandson (Jacob Salazar), great-grandson (Kameron Crowell), her brother and sister-in-law (Martin and Olga Rodriguez), sister and brother-in-law (Yolanda and Joaquin Soraiz Jr.) brother-in-law (Javier Quinones), sister-in-law (Hortencia Rodriguez), her twin brother and sister-in-law (Juan and Suelema Rodriguez), many nieces, nephews, and other family members. She will be dearly missed by her family.
A memorial service will be held in her honor on May 6, 2021 at 7pm. Location: Elim Church, 3200 S Richey Street, Houston, Texas 77017.
