With deep sadness we announce the passing of Dorothy Rose Astridge (nee Hyde), on December 4, 2024, at 87 years of age, in Nanaimo, BC. Born September 7,1937 in Epsom, England, she settled with her family in Calgary, Alberta in 1966, and retired to Parksville, BC in 2001. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Michael Astridge, her daughters Judy Astridge (Richard Murphy) and Diane Staples (Richard) and her sons Mark Astridge (Karin) and Kevin Astridge (Annette), grandchildren Amanda and Ryan Murphy, Paul and Christopher Staples, Robin, Kylie and Justin Astridge, and Madeline, Sinclair, and Camille Astridge. Dorothy was predeceased by her mother and father, Ethelbert and Alfred Hyde, and sisters, Mabel, Mary and Jean.
