Wilma, Daughter, Aunt, Wife, Mom, Nanny, Nan , Family, Dear Friend was a Christian woman who loved God and loved her family. Wilma attended church at Spreading Truth Ministries under Elder Ruble then, Pastor Nelson for years. Wilma later taught in the Christian school for years. Wilma recently stated teaching kindergarten with Sis Tisdale was one of her favorite memories.
Wilma and her late husband James loved to take pictures and travel and visit with family. Wilma has always been a servant from God, always being there to help others. She took care of her mother while she was sick, later in life she had to quit her job to care for her husband James after his stroke and until his passing in 2011.
Several years later she helped take care of her sister Barb while she was sick until her passing. Not too much longer she wanted to help take care of her other sister Mary but, Mom was to the point she really needed some help herself but, my point in all of this is no matter what she was always there trying to help.
Wilma loved to do crafts. Some crafts she did by herself and some her and her husband James did. Wilma loved to cook and was one of the BEST cooks ever! Wilma loved to have dinners and invite dear friends, that became family, the Browns, over. Wilma would go all out and every time she’d say I’m never doing this again then. When everyone was eating, she would never eat, she’d always say I’m to tired and I just want to enjoy visiting. I’ll eat later and as soon as everyone would leave she’d ask when are we gonna do that again.
Wilma had just stated while in the hospital, I can’t wait to get home and have the Browns over for a cookout.
Wilma also had one best friend throughout her whole life, Mary Ross, who was her Cousin but, they were more like sisters. This is why we call her Aunt Mary. Wilma also was a good friends with Cathy Conley and back in the day used to have some great times.
Wilma took care of others through the years, worked in the hospital, & cared for children that she loved as her own grandbabies and they all call her Nan. Wilma was an extraordinary woman.
Later in life she got a new love her granddaughter Taylor, she was Wilma’s pride and joy and they became best friends. Then Reaghan came along and Taylor slid down the favorite pole just a tad. Wilma loved her granddaughter and great grandchildren.
In Closing, I could go on all day about this woman, Wilma Reynolds, who I had the honor to call Mom for her and my dad saved my life, I wouldn’t be here today if not for their persistence and I’m Thankful for that and for the life they gave me.
So again in closing we would like to Thank everyone for the love, support, & prayers. We’d also like to say Thank You to those who came out and visited with her, prayed for her, & sang for her. And last but, certainly not least for the ladies that helped care for her those last few weeks Elizabeth Thomas, Isabella Ramage, Tamera Congrove, & Kenzie you will forever be family to us, we appreciate the care you gave her. Also to the staff of Sunset Memorial Gardens for all your help. Thank You Pastor Tisdale & Sis Tisdale for allowing us to have services here and for taking time to come out and pray and sing with us the night Mom passed ◦
