He was born October 30, 1952, to Duane Smith and Barbara Randolph Sands.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Connie R. Smith; daughters, Michelle (Anthony) Maze, Jessie(Kevin) Smith, and Heather Smith; grandchildren, Angela Burke, Alexis Smith, Bryar Burke, Danielle Burke, Dalton Smith, Katie Knight, Justin Maze (Kaylee), Brianna Maze; parents, Duane Smith and Barbara Randolph Sands; sister, Debby Goodwin; step-brothers, Randy Smith, David Starcher and Rodney Starcher; step-sisters, Diana Kersey, Jeanne Hughes, and Jeanette Ketterman, Christy Merrell; and great grandchildren, Lakelynn Grace Miller and Lawrence Bryar Burke, Jr.
Michael was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, one grandchild, Patrick Knight, Jr; his aunt Mary Jean Sargent; and step-mother Delores Jean Smith.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 8, from 3-7P.M., at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, March 9, at 2 P.M. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
