Known by all his hunting buddies as BEAR. He was born in Ritchie County, WV on June 23, 1943 to the late Arlie and Dora (Wires) Tingler.
Marlin retired from West Virginia Department of Highway with 36 years of service and worked as a mechanic out of District 3.
Marlin (Bear) loved hunting deer, turkey, and squirrels and spending time in the woods with his brothers.
Marlin is survived by his children Jason (Doris) Tingler of Ravenswood, WV, Robbin Lowe of Walker, WV, Eugene Watkins of Mississippi, Timothy Eddleblute of Parkersburg, WV, Buffy Workman of Parkersburg, WV; brothers, Marvin (Linda) Tingler of Warren, OH, Lawrence (Louella) Tingler of Newton Falls, OH, Michael Tingler of Parkersburg, WV, Delmer Tingler of Petroleum, WV, Lonnie (Janet) Tingler of Washington, WV; sisters, Dora Whitehair of Walker, WV, Rosemary IcenHower of Vienna, WV, Charlotte (Thomas) Gant of Davisville, WV, Marsha (Phillip) Carroll of Boaz, WV; nine grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Melvin Tingler.
