Geraldine Bailey

She was born to Woodrow and Ocie Parsons Cottrell in Arnoldsburg, WV on December 11, 1937.

She was married April 26, 1954 in Patton, PA to Arden P. Bailey, afterwards they moved to Wirt County and started their family.

A very strong Christian woman, she loved church and sharing her faith with everyone she met. Her sweet and beautiful smile will remain in her familys’ hearts forever.

Surviving are her children, Lusk (Sue) Bailey, daughters Marion (Randy) Mowery, Terry Coon and Kimberly Bailey all of Elizabeth, WV. Geraldine had 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren.

Also surviving are brothers, Stan Cottrell, Jerry Cottrell and sister, Sharon Burnside.

The family would like to thank the wonderful ICU nurses at WVU Medicine for their excellent care.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 18, 2024 at 1 P.M. at Big Island Run Church, 193 Meadow Lane Elizabeth, WV with Pastor Jon Larrison officiating. Burial will follow at Alberts Chapel Cemetery in Millstone, WV. Visitation will be 2 P.M. to 6 P.M. Sunday November 17, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
