Georgia Carol Rankin

She was born January 2, 1943 in Ravenswood, WV, a daughter to the late Carl Edward Sinnett and Violet Ramsey Sinnett.

She is survived by her husband James Rankin of Elizabeth, WV. Also surviving is one son V. Christopher (Brenda) Benson of Ravenswood and five daughters: Rhonda (Eric) Curfman of Elizabeth ; Barbara (Alan) Pope of NC, Beverly (Michael) Stewart of NC; Sandra Grogg of Parkersburg WV, and Vicki (Douglas) Williams of Washington, WV.

Georgia is also survived by two sisters, Barbara J. Sinnett of Denver, CO and Linda G. Lantz of WV. Also surviving are three brothers, William G. Sinnett of Ravenswood, Roger C. Sinnett of Florida, and Marvin Sinnett also of Florida. Georgia leaves behind eleven grandchildren; Carrie Benson, Christopher Benson, Bea Kincaid, Christopher Pope, Jerrod Bunner, Brooke Herman, Travis Stewart, Ryan Grogg, Taylor Williams, Kasey Williams, and Erin Williams. She leaves behind three great grandchildren; Ariel, Elijah and Abbigail Benson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Eddie Sinnett and Carlton Sinnett, and a granddaughter Christine Benson.

Services will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor David Chisholm officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday April 9th
