He was born November 20, 1935, a son of the late Clement Offenberger and Mildred Morgan Offenberger.
Don proudly served our country in the Marines and was a Korean War Veteran. He retired as an Iron Worker for Local 787. He was a member of United Methodist of Vienna and Bellview United Methodist of Pensacola, FL, and the masonic lodge. He enjoyed western movies, especially John Wayne, and reading about history. He was the best care-giver to his wife, Boots. He was the best husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 64 years, Beulah “Boots” Carpenter Offenberger; sons, Don Jr. (Becky) Offenberger of Parkersburg, WV, Troy (Michelle) Offenberger of Parkersburg, WV, Todd (Angie) Offenberger of Vienna, WV; daughter, Nicki Macrostie of Athens, OH; brothers, Carl Offenberger and Gary Offenberger; sisters, Brenda Offenberger, Mary Wanda Miller; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be 2 P.M. December 10, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 12 P.M. to 2 P.M. at the funeral home.
