Betty Perdue

Betty (Susie) Perdue died peacefully New Year’s Eve December 31, 2021, just 24 days after her beloved husband Ronald Perdue Sr. Susie was born June 12,1948 the daughter of the late George and Josie Tinney Lockhart of Lubeck, WV. formally of McDowell County.

Susie was a graduate of Welch High School. She worked at the Vienna Walmart for 25 years.

Susie was loved by everyone who knew her. She was welcoming and loved to cook delicious meals for her family and friends.

She took care of those who needed it, and always had a kind word for everyone.

Her greatest role was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.

In addition to her sweetheart and husband Ronald Perdue and her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Roy Fly and Billy Fly. She was also preceded in death by her in-laws Ira and Irene Perdue.

Left to cherish her memory is her devoted and loving son Ron Perdue Jr. of Lubeck WV, her devoted grandchildren Brandon (Kayla) Perdue, Madisson (Jon) Perdue and Destiny Thomas. Also, the lights of her life her great granddaughters Giuiliana and Olivia Perdue. She also survived by two loving sisters-in-law Sarah Fly and Karen (Raymond) Powell, two nieces Valerie (Mark) Fly McCants and Tammy (Eddie) Hill along with several loving nieces, nephews and cousins along with a wealth of friends including her dear friend Gladyes.

She will be laid to rest with her sweetheart of 53 years. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Sunset Funeral Home in Parkersburg WV to help with funeral expenses. Special thanks goes to Stonerise Nursing Home especially her nurses Carol and Suzie Archer.
