Mary was a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for most of her life. She worked in the hospitals’ Cancer ward. In the mid 90’s, after nearly 20+ years of working the hospitals in the big cities, she moved to Big River. She just couldn’t stop so she went to work in Blythe at the nursing home. In 2000 Mary retired for good. She wanted to help her granddaughter, Crystal, with her baby boy, Lawrence.
She had also just met the man of her dreams, Richard Delozier. The two were inseparable from the moment they met. They soon married and had a wonderful life together in Big River. They were both highly involved in helping the community. Mary was part of the ‘YANA” program that checked on the elderly that live alone. She really enjoyed being part of Big River’s Youth Program and helping with the kids’ holiday parties down at the park. Always helping people!
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Delozier, and her daughter, Deborah Flurry. Mary is survived by her granddaughter, Crystal Liston, and her grandson, Scott Vintus, her three great-grandsons, Larry, Travias, and Anthony, and her niece, Linda Palmer.
