Sarah Elizabeth Crowder, 98, of Paris, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Paris Regional Medical Center. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled a graveside inurnment for 2:00 pm, Monday, April 20, 2015, at Knights of Honor Cemetery with Reverend Jimmy Semple officiating. Mrs. Crowder was born November 3, 1916 in Maud, Oklahoma to Ezekial L. Alexander and Minnie Jordan Alexander. She graduated from high school in Ada, Oklahoma and attended East Central State College in Ada and it was there where she met John A. Crowder. They married February 10, 1936 and he preceded her in death March 20, 1994, having built over 58 years of family and memories. Mrs. Crowder was a proud and faithful member of First Baptist Church in Blossom. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include a son, John Crowder and wife Jeannette of Blossom; a daughter, Gail Griffith and husband John of Orange; two granddaughters, Kelley Smith & husband Dan of Oklahoma City, OK and Susan Crowder of Dallas; two grandsons, Greg Griffith & wife Tracy of Bristol, TN and Steve Griffith & wife Lana of Orange; great-grandchildren, Christy Lynn Smith, Megan Elizabeth Griffith, John Michael Griffith, Morgan Deann Womack & husband Landon, Sydney Taylor and Gage Crowder Griffith. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the many years of loving care she received at Colonial Lodge and Heritage House of Paris. She was loved greatly and will be remembered fondly by her family and many friends.
