Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 10:00 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16th at the Pavilion of Hopewell Cemetery with Rev. Mark Hutchison officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband of 68 years, J. C. Howell.
Prue was born Nov. 28, 1927, in Eureka, KS, to George W. Adams & Elenor E. (Hackler) Adams. She married Joseph Clark Howell, Jr. (J.C.) on Sept. 3, 1950, in Ft. Worth, TX. They moved to Sumner, TX in 1962.
She was a homemaker and an active member of Mt. Tabor-Sumner United Methodist Church for most of her life.
Her greatest accomplishment was touching people’s lives. She lived a very full life and was very loved by all that knew her.
Survivors include her son, James A. Howell & wife Sheryl; three grandchildren, James M. Howell & wife Amanda, April Thomas & husband James, and Kevin Meserole, Jr. & wife Sarah. Seven great grandchildren, Haley Hawkins, Caden Hawkins, Ty Howell, Remington Howell, Kimber Howell, Justin Meserole, and Riley Meserole, one great great grandson, Reid Youngblood, nieces, Pru Guckian and Milann Guckian and a nephew, Edwin Neher along with a plethora of friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, J. C. Howell, her parents, George W. Adams & Elenor E. (Hackler) Adams, and her only sister, Pat Neher.
