Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled memorial services for 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 2nd, at First Baptist Church of Paris with Rev. Ken Cannon officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
Mrs. Terry, the daughter of Avery Ritchey Farmer and Dorothy Melton Farmer, was born Jan. 29, 1939, in Red River County, Texas.
She graduated from Clarksville High School in 1957, and on Sept. 2, 1957, she married Gilbert W. Terry, building sixty years of family and memories before his death on Dec. 11, 2017.
Her career as secretary to the principal at Paris High School spanned more than twenty-five years before her retirement. Linda was a faithful member of First Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class. She was an avid bridge player, active in DAR, Lydia Bible Club, Good Earth Garden Club and was a former member of C’est La Vie and volunteer at L. P. McCuistion Regional Medical Center. In addition, Linda’s passion was traveling the world.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister, Virginia Stanphil.
Survivors include a son, Ritchey Terry & wife Robbie of Paris, a sister, Marla Farmer of Wadsworth, OH and two granddaughters, Emily Noble and Natalie Noble along with a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Paris Education Foundation, the Clarksville Education Foundation or First Baptist Church of Paris.
