Jill Ann (Harris) Capps, 64, of Paris, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Paris Chalet Senior Living. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 30th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home in Paris, Texas. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Cooper. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Jill, the daughter of Orval Elsworth Harris & Ora Bernice (Burrow) Harris, was born June 14, 1960, in Dallas, TX. When she was in the sixth grade the family moved to Clarksville where she attended school. Later she worked at Redcap in Clarksville, earned her CNA license at Paris Junior College, and wanted to be the best mother she could be. Jill had an enormous heart and endlessly sought to see the best in people. She was an adventurous person and a risk-taker. For most of Jill’s life, she was not one to sit at home. She loved to stay busy. She enjoyed working with horses and was proud of the horses she trained. Jill loved music, animals, sightseeing, fishing, and the beach, but most of all she loved her family. She had a sense of humor and loved to laugh and spend time with friends. Jill rarely slowed down and never gave up even when chronic pain and illness tormented the vibrant woman she once was. She loved unconditionally and gave the best advice. She was a one-of-a-kind treasure to those who knew her best and will be missed immensely. Surviving family members include her husband Roy Capps, daughter Brittany Posey and son-in-law Eric Posey, daughter Betty McKinney and son-in-law Layne McKinney, grandchildren Alyssa Posey, Gunner Posey, Corbin Posey, Brandon McKinney, and Gracie McKinney, sister Jami Brooks and brother-in-law Lance Brooks, niece Leah Brooks, nephew Robert Brooks, and several cousins.
