Hubert Geral Allen

Hubert G. Allen, 83, of Powderly passed away Monday, September 15, 2014, at Paris Regional Medical Center. The family has scheduled memorial services for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 21st, at Chisum Trails Cowboy Church with James McLeod officiating and honors rendered by the Patriot Guard. Cremation was under the care & direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home. Mr. Allen, the son of Sam & Grace Montgomery Allen, was born July 20, 1931, in Moore, Texas. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. On Feb. 7, 1953, he married Virginia Sinesh. She preceded him in death on April 20, 2011. Mr. Allen’s career as a truck driver spanned sixty years. He knew the geography of the United States from coast to coast. Survivors include four children, Sandra “Sandi” Booth of Powderly, Karen Allen of Georgia, Chuck Allen & wife Janice of Hewitt and Danny Allen of Powderly, six grandchildren, Kenton Allen of Georgia, Jennifer McClain of Hugo, OK, Misty McClain of Paris, Brittany Wilson, Rachel Owens of Waco and Amanda Allen, great grandchildren include Kylar, Kaden & Kolton Wilson of Alabama, Halen Wilson of Hugo, Valerie Owens of Waco and Eddie, Lana & Holly Allen, two brothers, Sam Allen of Carrizo Springs and Andy Allen of Sanderson, one sister, Ruth Wilkins of Devine along with numerous nieces & nephews.
