Harold Dean Ford, 82, died at his home in Maxey March 27, 2019. Harold was retired from a career as a press operator at UARCO in Paris. He retired to raise cattle and spend more time fishing. He was an avid hunter and loved to fish for crappie. Harold loved reminiscing with a host of family and friends he collected over the many years he lived in Maxey Community.
He was born Sept. 19, 1936, in Fannin County, the son of William “Bill” Ford & Irene Ramsey Ford. Harold was preceded in death by wife of over 50 years, Patsy Carter Ford.
He is survived by his son Jeff Ford of Maxey, Grandaughters Cali Werner of Houston, Carter Brumley of Paris and longtime friends Brian and April Brumley. Harold has two daughters, Jami and Joi. A special thank you to his caregiver Felix McDowell and all the wonderful care he received from On-Call Hospice and Elder Care. Please consider making a donation in Harold’s honor in lieu of flowers. Harold loved the Maxey Community Center and was a Mason for over 45 years.
The family has scheduled graveside services, with Masonic Rites, for 4:00 p.m. Saturday, March 30th, at Prairie Ridge Cemetery with Chaplin Joe Smith officiating. Cremation was under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
