Donna Jean Dunlap, 69, of Paris, passed away Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Cannon officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Donna, the daughter of Donald L. & Jewel Preas Evans, was born Dec. 2, 1945, in Paris. She graduated from Paris High School. Her career spanned over twenty-seven years, working seventeen years at Westinghouse, ten years at Bealls and six months at Goody’s. It was at this time that Donna’s health failed and she retired. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Bert L. & Nada McDonald Evans and John & Sally Preas, a special friend, Margaret North and cousins, Rick Evans and Virginia Ann Hilliard. Survivors include her husband, Dewey Lawrence Dunlap, whom she married on Feb. 17, 1971, building forty-three years of family and memories, one daughter, Dana Spann & husband Brad, three grandchildren who were the lights of her life and in which her world revolved, Keefer Winn, Alex Spann and Lohman Spann all of Paris, her extended family, Carolyn Spann, Elizabeth & Gary Melton, Mr. & Mrs. Van Odeneal & their son, Ryan, Lula Mae Calhoun, Diane Tellez, and Lynn & Linda Penn, aunts, Dovie Preas and Pat Dockery & husband Steve, cousins, Gerald Preas, Skippy Preas, Cathy Sue Williams, Susan Smith, Carolyn Hiner, Lee Hiner, Craig Evans and Cary Don Evans along with a host of friends.
