Deborah Peterson Wood

Deborah Peterson Woods, 62, of Paris, passed away Wednesday, February 04, 2015, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. David Oldright officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Private graveside services will be held on Monday at Meadowbrook Gardens. Mrs. Woods, the daughter of Norman & Doris Knight Peterson, was born April 3, 1952, in Dallas. She was the accountant & bookkeeper at the four restaurants that she and her husband owned and operated in Dallas, and she also did accounting & tax preparation for the public. Deborah was stricken with polio at a very young age, and that was a struggle in her life that she never let hold her down. She was a member of the Post-Polio Club. Survivors include her husband, Joe Woods, a son, Michael Sam of Paris, a daughter, Stefani Grant & husband Clark of Paris, grandchildren, Christian & Carolina Mason, two brothers, Wes Peterson & wife Patricia and William Peterson & wife Katerina, two sisters, Norma Redell and Gerry Taylor & husband Jim, nieces, Libby, Kate, Mary, Alexandra & Cameron, a nephew, Dimitri, several cousins, along with her beloved pets, Rambo, Little Lady and Tiger.
