Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Kenny Barrix officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Private burial will be made in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
Mr. Cunningham, the son of Emmett Cunningham, Sr. and Lottie McFatridge Cunningham, was born Sept. 18, 1935, in Lamar County, TX.
At the age of 12, he accepted Jesus as his personal Savior and was baptized.
He served in the United States Army being honorably discharged Aug. 9, 1962. Bill began a career with Superior Technologies that spanned 20 ½ years. He then began working at Kimberly-Clark, and his career there spanned 20 years before his retirement.
He served on the Reno City Council for a number of years. Spending time with his children and grandchildren was his greatest joy in life.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and all his siblings, Russel Dean Cunningham, E. M. Cunningham, Merle Gray, R.E. Cunningham, Donald Cunningham, and Hoyle Cunningham.
Survivors include his daughter, Kelli Barrix & husband Kenny, grandchildren, Lynsi Arango & husband Daniel, Morgan Puritz, Seth Walker & wife Mallory, Jordon Walker & wife Reagan, Bryce Walker & wife Heather, Dakota Barrix, and Riley Dittman & husband Darren, and six great grandchildren along with numerous nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
Casket bearers will be: Dakota Barrix, Brice Walker, Paul Walker, Jordon Walker, Seth Walker, and Kenny Barrix.
