Elaine Roberts, 78, of Powderly, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017. The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 p.m. Sunday, June 11th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home. Private burial will be made at Pyles Cemetery. Mrs. Roberts, the daughter of J. D. and Irene Mahan Parsons, was born Feb. 22, 1939, in Lamar County. Elaine graduated from Paris High School. Her career with Westinghouse/Phillips Lighting spanned forty years before her retirement. She was a member of College Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Danny Roberts in 2014, a brother, Keith Parsons, and a sister, Marcilene Campbell. Survivors include her husband, Leon Roberts, a daughter, Lynn Roberts of Paris, grandchildren; Rusty Nowell & wife Holly of Paris, Shelly Keller & husband Casey of Powderly and Jennifer Urbanski & husband Zac of Mansfield, great grandchildren; Madisyn Hart, Harper Nowell, Blake Hoover, Abel Keller, Tucker Keller and Emma Evangelista along with a number of nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
