She was born in Fairbury, NE, on December 25, 1948, daughter of Ruby and the late Earl Peppie. She is survived by her spouse, Jim Harrold, and their two daughters, Kim Vieth (Marc) and Stephanie Crandall (Kent). She is survived by her two siblings, numerous nieces and nephews, and grandchildren.
Marybeth moved to Papillion after graduating high school and married her high school sweetheart, Jim Harrold in 1967. She made her dreams come true by starting her own business in 1976 called the Papillion Flower Patch. For fifty years, she was very active within the Papillion community. She served on the Papillion Chamber of Commerce, Midlands Community Foundation, Papillion Community Foundations, and Monarch Villa Board. Marybeth and her husband were active in the Papillion Recreational Organization for over thirty years, coaching various softball teams including their own daughters. She was a part of the Christmas Caravan, Floral Academy, and was honored with many distinguished awards for her floral designs. Through hard work and the help of others, she made Papillion Days and the Holiday Luncheon great successes. She was awarded Sarpy County Business Hall of Fame in 2014.
Although she was extremely passionate about her work, she was dedicated to her family. She found the greatest joy attending and supporting her grandchildren in all their different activities. Mary Beth and Jim were blessed with 52 years of marriage. Where you could find one, you were always sure to find the other.
Mary Beth made the most of her DASH.
