He married Margaret Sudyka on June 24, 1961.
Children: Jeff (Lisa), Theresa (Wayne), Cheryl (Joe), David (Denise), Jane, Mary (Chris), and Tim. He has 18 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren.
After Graduating from South High School, John worked construction with his Dad and brother, Ray. From the mid 70's, he operated Hobbs Sand and Gravel in Cedar Creek, Nebraska. He moved his family there where he loved nothing more than being surrounded by them and wonderful lake-living friends.
John was not a church-going man but had a deep faith in God and upheld a deep moral code and ethics. John was a strong man who hugged all of us with arms and fists of steel, had a marshmallow heart, and always cared for us above himself. He spoke from his heart and always "told it like it was." He was a quiet man, beloved husband, father, grandfather, mentor, and friend that will be so missed by us all.
John died at home with his loved ones around him. He made the final decisions and told us what he wished for us and himself. He was always the guy who wanted the easy route for us and not himself.
In pain no more, but at peace.
We will all carry his love and cherished memories in our grateful hearts.
