Joan Louise Jacobs

Joan Louise Bayer Jacobs, 91 of Papillion, Ne died on August 30, 2022, after a brief illness. “Jo” was born on January 19, 1931, to Milrae Johnson Bayer and Joseph E. Bayer in Minden, Ne. Growing up she attended several different grade schools as her father worked in the oil fields until he came back to Minden to farm. Mom attended Minden schools where she met her future husband, Gerald “Jake” Jacobs. Jake and Jo married on June 5, 1949, and to this marriage three children Michael, Mary and Sarah were born. Later they lived in Hildreth, Herman and finally Papillion, Ne. Mom enjoyed working at the Minden Clinic, the Columbus Clinic and the Blair Hospital. She also enjoyed sewing and quilting and being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by Husband Gerald "Jake" Jacobs. Brother: Joseph R. Bayer.

Survived by Daughters: Mary (Thomas) Clabaugh, Sarah (John) Ciriaco. Son: Michael Jacobs. Sister: Cheryl (Arlin) Stuhr. Grandchildren: Laura (Marc) Christie, Christian (Brandy) Jacobs, Suzanne (Adam) Birnley, John (Megan) Clabaugh, Dani Bunger, Joslyn Bunger, Joseph Ciriaco. Great Grandchildren: Emilie & Andrew Christie, Theodore & Joseph Jacobs, Finnian Birnley, Sophia Birnley, Payton Birnley, Gabriella Garcia, Edyn Clabaugh, Elijah Clabaugh. Many Nieces, Nephews other relatives and Friends.
