Beloved husband of 33 years of Rosemary. Father of Charleen (Terrence); Mike (Marcia); Jonathan (Ashley); Mark (Liya); 8 grandchildren, Lucas Dowling (Natalie); Mark Dowling, Natalie, Lindsay, and Kate, Robert, Julia, & Mia Ise

Prior to service in the US Army in Korea, Richard graduated from Brown University; subsequently, he graduated Georgetown Law School and Temple University with a Masters in Taxes. Adrian started his career with the IRS and retired from GlaxoSmithKline in 1994. Richard loved boating and captained his 40-foot Hatteras from south FL to Chesapeake Bay, where he spent many happy years with his 3 sons and daughter.

Retirement was filled with travel to and from FL to visit kids, grandchildren and performing home-improvement projects as requested. Richard & Rosemary loved being members of Our Lady of the Assumption Church, and made a very memorable pilgrimage with many, dear fellow-parishioners to Abruzzi-Italy commemorating the 100th anniversary of the founding of OLA. Richard LOVED to cook but, most especially, eat—he was like a bottomless pit when it came to Italian food!

Richard was active in the Knights of Columbus as a 4th-degree knight and served on the Parish Council and OLA Academy School Board.

Services for Adrian will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church (35 Old Eagle School Rd, Strafford, Pennsylvania 19087). A viewing will be held from 9:00am to 10:50am, with Mass to begin at 11:00am. Burial at Calvary Cemetery will immediately follow mass.
