Jerry Lee Grant

old on January 7, 2024 in Santa Clarita, CA. Jerry grew up in Illinois and graduated from

Crete High School in 1967. Lived in California, the Antelope Valley, from 1984-1992, in

Illinois and Texas 1992-1994, in Oregon 1994-2021 and then moved back to the Antelope

Valley in 2021 – 2024.

Jerry is survived by a sister Sharon Raymond. Two daughters Tammie Walsh and Jeannie

Grant (Ron Kaspar); Two sons Jerry Grant Jr (JJ) and Jeff (Kristine) Cochran.

He had seven grandchildren: Five grand-daughters; Skylar A.M. Walsh, Grace and Alexis

Grant, Lillian Kaspar and Jayah Cochran. Two grand-sons; William Grant and Jeremy A.S.

Walsh. He was preceded in death by his parents William Wayne and Weymouth Grant. Two

brothers Edwin (Ed) and Robert (Bob) Grant.

In 1984, Jerry met and married the love of his life, Darlene. Of thirty nine and a half years

their life was filled with love, happiness, and wonderful years of memories raising children and

traveling together trucking cross country.Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandpa, brother, and uncle.

For over 36 years, he was a truck driver local and over the road for ready mix, flat beds, freight

and refrigeration trucks. He worked construction building houses, manager for a lumber

company and owning his own wood cabinet shop.

Jerry treasured his time with family, friends, gardening, woodworking, fishing, camping and

cooking. He was able to build and repair just about anything. From 1988-2024 he battled heart

and lung conditions and cancer.

His Celebration of Life Service will be February 24th at 1:00 p.m.
