Szabo, Maria 89, of Palm Harbor, Florida passed away on December 12, 2013 with her family by her side. She was born in Gebe (Nyirkata), Hungary and immigrated to the United States after escaping Hungary following the failed 1956 Hungarian revolution.
Maria was a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church in Palm Harbor, Florida. She was loved by all who knew her and had a generous heart. Her baked goods and crafts brought smiles to many people.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jozsef Szabo; her step-son, Jozsef Szabo; and her parents Miklos Sepa and Ilona Cselenyak. She is survived by four children, Maria Kon, Aniko Roth, Tibor Szabo, and Eva Isaacs; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer Kon, Michelle Roth, Robert Roth, Lidia Szabo Kraft, Christina Quaine, Tibor Szabo, Eva Trudeau, Mark Trudeau, Adam Trudeau, Maria Szabo Kovacs, and Jozsef Szabo; and 11 great-grandchildren, Jonah Kraft, Elliott Kraft, Lauren Quaine, Brooke Quaine, Tibor Szabo, Stephanie Owens, Eric Goering, Kevin Trudeau, Isabella Kovacs, Maximillian Kovacs, and Jozsef Szabo.
A memorial service will be held by the family on Sunday, December 13, 2013 at 1pm at Crossroads Baptist Church in Palm Harbor, Florida.
