Loved by many and admired by all, Lyn Herman was born of immigrant parents who founded a modern day startup in the army navy retail arena. Lyn worked alongside her family while attending school and later in upscale fashion venues becoming a handbag aficionado. Her piano performances gained her entry to the Boston Conservatory. However, her life’s passion was her husband and family. In her children, she instilled a drive for excellence in education alongside a love of fine art. Lyn’s vocabulary and reading list tops any NYT list! In the home her delicious meals and fine desserts kept family and friends gathering to share stories and experiences which drove unity and acceptance. Not a day would pass without being beautifully dressed, Lyn was known for her elegance and style. Her contagious laugh reverberating throughout gatherings and show venues exposed her unabashed love of life. Often revered as a truly inspirational person, Lyn’s “can do” attitude and counsel was the catalyst for achievements by many.
Lyn is survived by her husband, George Herman; sons, Scott (Sheryl) Herman, Ross (Karen) Herman, Dean Herman; and Lyle (Ying) Herman; daughter Merryll (Jonathan) Abrahams. Seven grandchildren, Tova, Max, Laura, Simcha Lev, Natalie, Lucien, and Leif. Four great-grandchildren, Sylvie, Rex, Olive, and Arlo.
