Gerald E. Gaffin of West Palm Beach, formerly of Framingham and New Seabury, MA, son of Harry and Anne (Grace) Gaffin, passed away suddenly, but peacefully in his sleep Tuesday, December 4, 2018. He was 86 years old. He was predeceased by his loving wife Rickey of 62 years. Jerry is survived by his beloved children, Margo (Lisa) and George Brown, David and Cindy Gaffin and grandchildren Richard, Rebecca and Madelyn Gaffin.
Born in Worcester, MA on April 28th, 1932 he attended Law school, receiving his JD from Boston University in 1956. Gerald began his law career as an Assistant District Attorney before opening his own law firm in Framingham, MA where he was the senior partner for 45 years. Gerald was a member and past president of the MA Bar Association and Foundation, Member of Mediation and Arbitration in MA, Listed in Who’s Who of American Lawyers, Co-Founder of Trinity Mental Health Association, Past Counsel to the United Way of MetroWest, Danforth Museum, MetroWest Chamber of Commerce, Framingham Zoning Board of Appeals and Boston Beverage Corporation.
Jerry and Rickey were avid travelers, visiting many destinations within the United States and around the world. He enjoyed golf and skiing, playing bridge and gin and entertaining family and his many friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 10th at 12PM at Star of David, 9321 Memorial Park Rd, West Palm Beach, FL 33412 with a celebration of life immediately following the services.
