Eve Rood Novik, 99 of Detroit, Michigan, died peacefully at home in West Palm Beach with her beloved aide, Eileen Reid, by her side. She was an ordinary woman who lived an extraordinary life. Her smile was the envy of all who knew her.
She will be missed by her two daughters, Sharon Plonsker and Belinda Novik, their husbands, Larry Plonsker and Barry Katz, number one son Michael Novik, grandchildren Diana Reihs, Noah Katz and Natalie Novik Lewandowski and Sean Lewandowski, great grandchildren Max Reihs, and Scarlett Lewandowski.
Eileen was able to give Eve unconditional love and trust for the past 3 years, 24/7. Eve’s children are forever thankful to her.
Eve was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Morris (Pete) Novik, who co founded Contractor’s Fence Company in Detroit,MI, with their son Michael. She is survived by her sister Helen Wachler, of Bloomfield Hills, MI and countless nieces and nephews who adored her elegant style and supportive love.She loved her volunteer work at the Center for Group Counseling in Boca Raton and was knows as “Eve, with the golden hands” because of her creative skills in quilting, knitting, crocheting, beading, millinery work, and making some of her clothes. She also loved art and music classes at FAU .
Our Mom was a stunning woman who thanked us profusely, always with a smile, for aiding her during her last months.
