Ruth Ann Waring

RuthAnn Waring passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 2,2022. She was 83. RuthAnn was born in Reinholds, PA on March 18,1939. Her family moved to Melbourne, Florida in 1955. She graduated from Melbourne High School in 1957. RuthAnn married Tom Waring in January 1958 and together they had two daughters, Cindy and Candy. They lived in Germany while Tom was in the Army before settling in their forever home in May 1960. RuthAnn loved following Tom to the race track always his biggest cheerleader until his death in 1994. RuthAnn was an incredible stay at home mom and room mother for Cindy and Candy while they were in school. In May 1978 she got a job at Harris Corporation. She retired at 75 years old in May 2013. She was so proud to have worked there for 34 years and absolutely loved her job. After her retirement, RuthAnn spent her time volunteering at First United Methodist Preschool in the office once a week. She also started volunteering at Promise Thrift Store in 2014 and continued up until 3 weeks before her passing. RuthAnn received several Volunteer of the Year awards from Promise. RuthAnn was very involved at Wesley Church where she was a member since 1994. She did everything from greeter, coffee maker,card ministry, and Secretary of Church Council. Her passion was puzzles, reading and spending time with her family. She was known as "Everyone's Grandma". She told everyone she spoke to "How Blessed she was". She was a beautiful example of strength, love, compassion and generosity. RuthAnn will be missed by everyone who knew her but especially her family.She is preceed in death by her parents Paul and Helen Sweigart, Brothers, Harold,Chester and Russell. She leaves behind her greatest Joy her daughters, Cindy and Candy, Grandson Wayne( Alex), Bryan, Granddaughter Jennifer ( Mike). Great Grandson Keegan, Great Granddaughters Brooke and Taylor. Brothers Leon and Donnie. Sister Janet (Bobby) several Nieces and Nephews.

In Lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request donations be made to Health First Hospice or Promise in Brevard in RuthAnn's name. A graveside service only will be held on Saturday July 9,2022 from 10am to noon at Fountainhead Memorial 7303 S.E. Babcock St., Palm Bay, Florida 32906.
