He was born May 10, 1949 in Springfield, Massachusetts. Russell was a graduate of Springfield Technical High School Class of 1967. Russell was also a Navy Veteran serving in the Vietnam War from 1968-1970.
Russell is survived by his wife of 27 years, Kim Nadeau McCullock, and his children Matthew McCoy of Everett, MA, Kate McCoy of Chatham, MA, Kevin McCoy of MA, Jaime Tanguay of MA, Shayla Legassie of Coventry, CT, Seth McCullock of West Lafayette, IN. Russell is also survived by siblings Patty Pippin (Gary) of Springfield, MA, Kelly Monteleone (Joe) of Port Charlotte, FL, and Aunt Patricia Richmond of Springfield, MA. Russell also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, and 3 adopted grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
Russell was predeceased by his parents, Willard McCullock and Georgia Richmond, stepmother Anne McCullock, grandmother Madeline Brooks, sister, Joanne Isabelle, and his Aunt Virginia Carey.
Russell loved the Lord Jesus and was a devoted husband. He loved spending time with his family at the beach, fishing, and camping. Russell was an avid knife collector and an amazing bread baker. With everyone wanting a slice of his bread. His biggest dream was to learn to make manna in heaven.
A Celebration Of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 10:00 am at Lighthouse Assembly Of God, 26 West Fee Avenue, Melbourne, Florida 32901. Interment of Russell's cremated remains will occur on Monday, January 27, 2020 at 2:30 pm at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US-1, Mims, Florida 32754. There will also be a memorial service in Connecticut; the date and time are still pending.
