Roberta Ann Bower (Bobbie), 85, of Melbourne, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, July 7, 2023 at Kindred Hospital of Melbourne. She was born in Ladysmith, Wisconsin to Robert and Esther Ehlert Paulsen.
She was the oldest of 9 children, and is survived by 5 siblings: Nancy, Diane, Bob, Tommy, & Becky. As a military wife she traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and abroad until retirement brought the family to Melbourne in 1977. Bobbie loved being a homemaker and excelled at loving & nurturing her children. She shared her servant heart with the church and community as well. Her love of cooking, baking, crafting, gardening, & exercise kept her busy in her “spare” time.
Bobbie enjoyed time with her social circle in her neighborhood and developed very deep long-lasting friendships wherever she lived. Her children are eternally grateful for all the help she received from her neighborhood family over the years.
She was preceded in death by Bruce “Brad” Bower with whom she shared 47 years of marriage. Bobbie is survived by four children: Bruce Jr. (Lynne), Barbara Bower (Mike Hearn), Robin (Alan) Markovich and Kellee (Robert) Avossa. 8 grandchildren: Lindsay (Tyler), Kevin (Taylor), Brian (Braydyn), Maddie (Jonathan) , Jillie, Noah, Nicholas, Gianluca, and Mattia. 6 great grandchildren: Jenny, Griffin, Jordy, Karis, Ronan, Sammie, and 2 on the way.
