Born July 25, 1937 in Hartford, Connecticut passed away April 3, 2013 the Son of the late Albert and Mildred (Watson) Hunt. After serving 12 years in the navy Bob was a Life Time member DAV Chapter 12, Hartford. He spent 28 years working for the post office before taking early retirement. During this period he was devoted to his mother’s care at 40 Linnmoore Street in Hartford, the home in which he grew up for many years until her passing.
Bob always wished to live in Florida and in the late 90’s moved to Palm Bay permanently. He was a communicant of Church of Savior, Episcopal Church Palm Bay, Florida. Bob lived his life as many wished we could. He loved all his cruises throughout the Caribbean. In Bob’s perfect world cruises would leave from the front door of his house.
He leaves one brother William H. Hunt of Coventry, Connecticut. Bob’s beloved sister Eleanor A. Leonard of Winsor Lock, Connecticut predeceased him. He leaves numerous nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces who fondly remember all the great holiday dinners in Hartford. In Florida, Bob leaves many close friends such as Jeffery Groves, Eddie Schutz, and Terry Carl.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Christ Church Cathedral, Hartford Connecticut or Church of Our Savior Palm Bay, Florida.
Funeral services will be at Church of Our Savior, 1000 Jersey Lane, NE , Palm Bay, FL 32905. April 22, 2013, at 11:00 AM with a reception to celebrate Bob’s life directly to follow. The interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford at the Watson-Hunt grave site.
