Patricia "Pat" Louise Smith

Patricia Louise (Bisch) Smith was born October 11, 1938 to Clifton F. Bisch and Marian O. Bisch in Calvin, Illinois. Patricia lived in Grayville, Illinois with her family. She attended Grayville High School graduating in 1956. After graduating from High School Patricia and friends moved to Madison, Wisconsin where she worked for the State of Wisconsin for a short time.

On January 4, 1957, she married Darvin L. Smith in Dubuque, Iowa. Together the couple moved to Eagan, Minnesota in 1961 where they raised their four children. In 1993 she moved to Palm Bay, Florida enjoying her retirement years in Florida. Patricia worked as an Executive Administrative Assistant at the Unisys Corporation for over 10 years.

Patricia (Pat) was a loving mother of four children and a stay at home mom for most of the child rearing years. She was very involved with the children's activities as she helped coach their teams in both basketball and softball. She was very talented with many things of which included sewing, painting, custom wedding cake building, very talented cook (of which ensured we had meatloaf once a week), love to play cards and was in a card club with neighborhood wives of which they got together once a month.

Patricia was very involved with the Lutheran Church and ensured that all four children received proper religious training of which she was responsible to have all her children baptized and confirmed under the Lutheran religion. Very supported and loving wife to our father who was absent at times due to his military commitments flying all over the world for 35 plus year career as flight engineer. She cared deeply about her family and made certain that we spent as much time as we could with our extended family on weekends and when they had vacation. Patricia started working later in her life and enjoyed working at the executive level until her retirement at the age of 53. She loved to bowl and did so for many years in many different leagues.

Patricia is survived by her brothers Joseph Bisch, (Melanie) Clarksville, TN and Gary D. Bisch (Jean Ellen), Grayville, Illinois. along with her children; Julie Larsen of Eagan, Minnesota; Kathryn Smith of Palm Bay, Florida; Stan & Cindy Smith, Atlanta, Georgia and daughter-in-law Joan Smith of Palm Bay, Florida. Grandchildren: Jessica & Dan Boser, South St. Paul, Minnesota; Cassandra and Garrett Spieker, Lakeville, Minnesota; Tessa Larsen and Nick Bade, Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota; Dustin Smith, Palm Bay, Florida; Darrin & Alma Jean Smith, Columbia, MO; Wesley Smith, Eagan, Minnesota; Wyley Smith, Atlanta, Georgia and Michael Smith of Orlando, Florida

Great Grandchildren, Beau Boser, Aria & Alivia Spieker and Addison Smith. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 65 years Darvin; son Allan Lee Smith; brothers James and Norman Bisch & Sister-in-law Betty Bisch.

A celebration of life service for Pat will be held Friday, October 21, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Fountainhead Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock St SE, Palm Bay, Florida 32909. Following the celebration of life service will be a committal service at 1:30 PM at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US 1, Mims, FL 32754.
