Milagros "Millie" Bermudez

Milagros "Millie" Bermudez, age 74, of Palm Bay, Florida passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022 after a long battle with mental illness. Millie was born September 4, 1948 in Lajas, Puerto Rico to Victor Almodovar and Amparo Acosta. in 1968, she met Darvin L. Bermudez in Newark, NJ and a year later married in 1969. Millie and Darvin moved to Palm Bay, Florida in 1998 to live out their retirement years.

A loving mother and homemaker, Millie enjoyed gardening and was a remarkable cook, preparing meals for her family and friends, most especially over the holidays. She also enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Millie was predeceased by her loving husband of 41 years, Darvin, mother Ampro Acosta, father Victor Almodovar, brothers Julio Almodovar and Wiche Almodovar.

She is survived by her three sons Javier Bermudez, Ariel Bermudez, Edward Bermudez and wife Kimberly Bermudez. Millie is also survived by four grandchildren Alyssa N. Snedeker and husband Christopher Snedeker, Brittany N. McCrea and husband Craig McCrea, Nathan E. Bermudez and fiancee Ashley Burrow, and Alton E. Bermudez. She has four great-grandchildren Lydia E. Byers, Emerie M. Snedeker, Caleb F. McCrea and Logan N. McCrea

A celebration of life service for Millie will be held Friday, October 14, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Fountainhead Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909.
