Jeffery A. Burgin

Jeff served with the Palm Bay Fire Department for 16 years as a Driver/Engineer, Paramedic and just last week passed his Lieutenant’s exam, which made his family and friends so very proud. Prior to that, Jeff was a firefighter with the Florida Forestry Service for 3 years throughout South FL.

Jeff and his family were members of Covenant Presbyterian Church for 15 years, active with the youth group, and recently enjoyed worshipping at Lifepoint Church with their brothers and sisters in Christ.

A dedicated, wise, and loving family man, Jeff treasured his home time and activities with family and friends. He was always ready with a warm smile, kind word, and a wonderful laugh. He loved boating, fishing, camping and was also known for his great cooking. He shared and enjoyed a wide variety of music including old time rock-n-roll, reggae, country and classical (especially with lots of large speakers).

Jeff will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Patty; his son, Ricky; his daughter, Rachel; his parents, Richard and Denise Burgin; his mother, Elaine Bower; brothers, Ken and his wife, Charmaine and Bill and his wife, Laurie; and his in-laws, the Platt family as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and his brothers and sisters of the Palm Bay Fire Department.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, Monday, June 25th at Fountainhead Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, June 26th at Covenant Presbyterian Church.
