Jean Helen Sobotor 98, of Palm Bay FL passed away on July 23, 2024. Jean was born in Bally, PA on May 6, 1926. One of 13 children born to Harvey Bauman and Florence Mutter. She was always busy cooking, crocheting and crafting. Jean and her late husband Louis Sobotor moved to Palm Bay from Pennsylvania in 1978 to live a quiet retired life. It was anything but quiet. They loved having friends and family over to play games, cards, and bingo. Jean was an excellent cook and loved cooking for others and entertaining.
Jean and Lou were the first residents of Glenbrooke Senior Living where they resided for 20+ years. They lived independently at this facility, always involved in every activity. She was happy and content and loved life, God, her family and especially Lou. She remained active till the end.
Jean had 5 children with her 1st husband Paul Henry. Annabelle Callan, Allan Henry and wife Nancy, Jane Cook and husband Harry, also Irene Hunsicker and Paul Henry, Jr. who preceded her to heaven. She has 2 step children Louise and Jim Greger and Gerry and Mary Sobotor.
Grandchildren: Michael Marks, Alexis Priddy, Crystal Lund, Angela Cook, Gerry Sobotor, Megan Henry, Benjamin Henry, and Kelly Manginello. She also had 7 great grandkids.
Visitation will be Friday August 2, 2024 from 10:00 - 11:30 am with a Celebration of Life beginning at 11:30 am at Fountainhead Funeral Home, 7359 Babcock St Palm Bay FL 32909. Interment to follow at 12:30 pm at Fountainhead Memorial Park.
