Curt served in the U.S. Armed Forces, trained in Fire Protection, and was stationed in Europe and the United States during his service. He earned a Bachelors Degree from Nova Southeastern University and several professional certifications. He worked in the technology industry.
Curt truly lived life to the fullest. To the end, his lifelong passion and enthusiasm for karate, international travel, and music remained. He trained, taught, and competed locally and internationally in Shotokan Karate, attained multiple black belt levels / ranks, and received various awards. He traveled to over 100 countries and loved learning about different cultures. He lived to travel, and now he’s freely traveling wherever he wants.
Curt will be remembered by family, friends, his karate family, colleagues, and co-workers for his sense of humor, laughter, generosity, and his constant willingness to help others. He will be greatly missed by many.
He is survived by his mother, brother, nephew, and grandniece. He is preceded in death by his father.
A memorial service will be held at Fountainhead Funeral Home on September 1, 2020. Due to Covid-19 and the restrictions on how many people can gather, attending in person is by invitation only. However, the service will be streamed online at 12pm on Fountainhead Funeral Home's Facebook page. The interment at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery will be streamed on Fountainhead Funeral Home's Facebook page at 2:30pm.
