Choo Ja Lyons

Choo Ja Lyons passed away November 27, 2024, in Melbourne Florida at the age of 88. It also happened to be the same date of her loving husband's death, Charles J Lyons Sr., 7 years prior almost to the exact hour.

She was a wonderful mother to Charles J Lyons Jr. (son), George Lyons (son) and Cynthia Harvel (daughter). She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Joshua Lyons, Tony Lyons, Jonathan Lyons, Brittny O’Toole and Brianna Cupoli; two great grandchildren Jaime Cupoli and Jonah Justice. She also leaves behind 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

Choo was born in Daegu, Korea in 1936. She came to the United States in 1954 becoming an American citizen. She met her husband while he was in the United States Army stationed in Indiana. After he retired from the Army after serving 26 years they moved to Palm Bay Florida in 1972 where they bought their first and only home and raised a family. Choo loved gardening, cooking Korean food, cruising and doing karaoke with her friends. Choo and her husband converted to Catholicism in 2015 and were members of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Palm Bay, Florida.

Her funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 20th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5330 Babcock St NE, Palm Bay, Florida.
