Cathleen Dawn Wright

Cathy is survived by her father, Roland Forget; sister Judy McDonald(Forget); brothers Daniel Forget and Timothy Forget; her children Christina Nelson (Jakubowski), Jessica VanSparrentak (Jakubowski) and her husband Richard, Alexander Jakubowski and his fiancé Diana Esposo, and Morgan Jakubowski; her 8 grandchildren Autumn, Colby, Jacob, Sadie, Caitlyn, Skylar, Benjamin, and Maxine. She is predeceased by her mother Ruth Forget, her sister Diane Bourdeau (Forget), and Michael Jakubowski, her husband of 20 years.

Cathy was born in Attleboro, MA on November 25, 1960 to Roland and Ruth Forget. Soon after, her family moved to Oakdale, CT where she graduated from Montville High School and began her own cleaning business, Spit and Polish. Cathy married Michael on May 19, 1978 at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic church in Oakdale, CT. They started their family shortly after. Their four children were the most important part of her life.

Cathy was a devoted mother, avid reader, gardener and enjoyed all things arts and crafts. One of her greatest joys was painting rocks and hiding them around town for people to find. She will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew her. She was strong-willed and determined and would do all in her power to make others happy.

A private memorial service will be held in Florida for immediate family. A celebration of life will be held in Connecticut at a later date.
