Born in McMinnville, Tennessee, he was the son of Carl Muse Sr. and Edna Muse. He graduated from Southwest Texas State with his Bachelor’s degree and from Georgia Southern with his Master’s degree in Education. He was employed by Brevard Public Schools and taught History at Central Junior High School for thirty-four years and substituted for thirteen years.
He was a member of the Texas National Guard. He attended Melbourne Church of Christ. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and studying the history of Texas, the Civil War, WWI, and WWII. He will be remembered for his fishing stories, his love of God, and witnessing to others about his faith.
He is survived by his wife Janet Muse, his daughter Kimberly Muse O’Steen (Brian), daughter Ellen Muse, and stepchildren Scott Davenport (Cathy), Aimee Grezafffi and his sister Sandra Kuhlmann. He was grandfather to Ashley and Brooke O’Steen, Joey, Cayla, and Jacob Grezaffi, and Sean and Connor Davenport. He was great grandfather to Camden and Jett. He was the dog dad to his beloved beagle Zoe. He was predeceased by Anne Schuele Muse (wife), Kenneth Muse (brother) and Alan Muse (brother).
The memorial service will be held on April 15th, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Melbourne Church of Christ located at 810 Hollywood Blvd., West Melbourne, FL 32904. There will be a reception to follow the service at the church
