Chuck, as his friends knew him, was born to parents Ray Clevenger and Laura Ann Rihm on February 1, 1945 in Norfolk, VA. He was later adopted by his step-father, Charles Boggs Jr., whom he always considered his father. He became an older brother to Jefferson Boggs in 1950 and later attended Galileo High School in San Francisco. In 1964, he enlisted in the US Army and served for 3 years in Germany as a Military Policeman. His son, Charles Wesley Boggs III, was born in 1968. Chuck returned to San Francisco and enrolled at San Francisco State University in Film Studies. He later found a niche for himself in the Telecom business, opening an office in San Juan, Puerto Rico. His daughter, Marjorie Ann Boggs Vazquez, was born in 1981. After working for many years in Telecom, he became involved in tech startups and Venture Capital. Chuck had a love of the sea and of sailing that followed him throughout his life.
Chuck is survived by his son, Wesley Boggs; his daughter, Marjorie Boggs Vazquez; his brother, Jefferson Boggs; his significant other, Sue Lewis; and his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Laura Ann and his uncle, Hulen Rihm.
