Robert Oscar Carter (Lt. Col. Ret.) 91, of Ozark, passed away, Thursday, December 24, 2015 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Westview Heights United Methodist Church with Rev. Sam Williams officiating. Entombment with full military honors will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service time on Sunday.

Mr. Carter was born December 4, 1924 in Delaware. He retired from the U. S. Army as Lt. Col. after 24 years of service. He was engaged in real estate, taught ROTC at Carroll High and was employed with Mutual of Omaha. He later managed Quincey’s Restaurant and flew helicopters to locate tuna fish in Panama. Mr. Carter was a member of Westview Heights United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Louise Carter of Ozark; 8 children; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
