Gloria Virginia Rodriguez

GLORIA V. RODRIGUEZ, at the age of 87 passed away in her Oxnard home Friday, August 17, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She follows her beloved siblings and parents. Gloria was a loving mother of Steven Rodriguez (deceased), Susan (Ernest) Reynoso of Ontario, CA, James (Linda) Rodriguez, Oxnard, CA, Cynthia (Johnny) Brown of Port Hueneme, Teresa Rodriguez of Oxnard. She was a dear Grandmother, Aunt, Cousin, Godmother and friend to many. Gloria was born in Pacoima, CA., March, 9, 1931, to Frank and Gabriela Cruz, then moved with family to Oxnard, CA. She graduated from Oxnard High School., then went on to Ventura College where she received her Associates Degree.

Gloria was employed by the Oxnard Union High School District as a Proctor for 10 years, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 232. She was her own Meals on Wheels, always giving to those in need, loved camping and fishing, slots at the Casino and loved going to her exercise classes.

Her family will deeply miss her gracious, unconditional love, and tender hearted spirit every day. We rejoice knowing she is safe in the arms of Jesus and reunited in glory with "her" other cherished loved ones.

Visiting hours are Friday, August 24th from 1pm to 9pm with recitation of the Rosary at 6pm, in the Chapel at Funeraria Del Angel, Oxnard, 401 W. Channel Islands Blvd., Oxnard (805) 487-4911. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 25th, 9am at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Oxnard.
